Women who wear Hadasity
1. When and What was your first Hadasity piece and which is your favourite?

I’ve been a fan since 2015 when I bought a necklace with porcelain centre piece. It’s still stunning. At the moment these blue earrings are my absolutely fav! They’re a great reflection of my personality - a little quirky, creative, innovative, but it all works like a charm!

2. How would you describe your style and where do you wear your jewellery most to?

To be honest, I don’t have fixed style, it definitely varies. The main constants are definitely bright pops of colours with a mix of prints. I wear my jewellery everywhere! One day I’d wear a necklace as “statement piece” on a basic top, or some days I even stack them all up!

3. You just changed careers! How did you find the courage to take this step and what free advice would you give those looking for a new career ?

Courage is a big one! It definitely was not an overnight thing. I’ve been working towards it for ages before finally deciding to take the plunge. I had been unofficially helping others propel their careers forward and really wanted to make a bigger impact and make it official. So to set me up for success, I got properly certified, surrounded myself with like minded people and just did it! I will admit, it’s the hardest thing I have ever done, but definitely the best thing ever. Sure it’s hard work, a lot of self talk (ha!), perseverance and the confidence that things will work out. When I get a testimonial from a client that they achieved their goals thanks to our work together, it all feels worth it!

For anyone trying to do the same, my first advice would be to look at your professional brand and how you are communicating it. Often when I started out I assumed people already knew about my experiences and value but it was not the case. You might think you have the right skills and expertise but no one else would know that if you don’t communicate it effectively. So, start somewhere. Anywhere. It could revamping your CV and Linkedin to show your value or to even generate content that speaks directly to your aligned audience. Both of these are your lead magnets to start moving into that next role!

4. How do you help make an impact in a client’s life?

In coaching, there is really no one size fits all. Just like handmade jewellery, everyone is unique and their goals and drivers are different too! One example would be when I helped a client was in a role for more than 10 years and with COVID, her entire team was laid off.

She felt very lost and was feeling like she had to to start from scratch after being in her comfort zone for so long. When we first started, she was very confused about how to best navigate the market effectively, especially in a very competitive talent market! A lot of emotions such as being worried if she might never find another role, and even feeling like she had let her family down was coming up.

Without the right mindset, you can’t build a good foundation. Over the first sessions, we really dug into her values, what she wanted to move towards and built her career confidence up. Only then did we started working on her professional branding, repackaging her experiences to target her dream companies, thinking creatively on how to get noticed! As a result, not only did she land 3 offers in 2 months, she also got a lot of career clarity, confidence, increased her salary and understood herself as a person better.

5. What advise would you give to moms who are thinking to go back into the workforce after having taken care of their kids for multiple years?

Definitely look at the strategy before trying to implement all the tactics! Often, people think that they need to put in all the actions without actually having a clear job search strategy or understanding what is it that they want in their next role. The world has changed so much, job searches are now a 2 way conversation, and if you don’t know what you want, you won’t be able to set yourself up for success.

We are all unique - What is it that you want? What are you looking for? What is important to you in a job as well as the organisation? Also reflect on what makes you special. What are your strengths and unique elements that brings value to a company. Once you have this it’s easier to identify the right roles, communicate your value-adds and land that exciting new role.
